Brentwood Bay Lodge Victoria

Brentwood Bay in Victoria BC

Brentwood Bay in Victoria BC

We stayed for two nights on route to the Campbell River on a trip from London. The setting is beautiful with lovely views across the water, although a little isolated. Our room was by far the best that we had throughout our trip, incredibly comfortable and perfect for a romantic break. The shutters from the huge whirlpool bath can be left open to have a fabulous view across the bay, every conceivable luxury included in the room – even a kettle as well as a French coffee maker with a variety of herbal teas available. The staff were friendly and helpful, working out routes for our next stage of the journey. Lovely small swimming pool and tub on the deck. Food interesting in the main restaurant, but not quite so exciting in the pub. We loved this hotel – a real treat.

Magnolia Hotel in Victoria BC Canada

Magnolia Hotel in Victoria BC Canada

Our stay at the Magnolia couldn’t have been more pleasant – from the coffee and tea in the lobby, to the fresh fruit and flowers, to the super clean room, to the breakfast … and the list could go on!
We were in Victoria for two days/one night for a weekend get-away, but I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hotel. We arrived at 11am, directly from the Clipper ferry, and found that our room was already ready. We stayed in #212 – which appeared to be one of the largest rooms on the floor. The room was very comfy – with a warm down comforter, two bath robes, Aveda bath products, hair dryer, tea, coffee, etc. I agree, the views are nothing to write home about, but you merely have to leave the hotel front door to enjoy everything that Victoria has to offer.
